Mumbai: The Maharashtra government on Friday told the Bombay High Court that it would not take the “coercive action” against former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Bir Singh until October 21 in the case listed under it under the SC / SC Law (Prevention of Atrocution) (Prevention cruelty).

In a separate case, the state government gave the same guarantee to the court about not taking action against Rashmi Shukla, other IPS officers.
The government extended the guarantee given on May 24, 2021, about not taking coercive action (such as arrest) towards Param Bir Singh, said his lawyer Yagnik.
He made a statement after Judge S S Shinde and N J Jamadar was postponed until October 20 the trial at the petition submitted by Singh who was looking for his appearance by police Thane.
