Srinagar: Governor Lieutenant Kashmir Manoj Sinha said on Sunday that no one would endanger the unity and sovereignty of the state and the government would not hesitate in dealing with hard with anti-national activities or creating obstacles on the Peace Road in the Union region.
Speaking at an event, ‘pedal for peace’, organized by police JK here, LG also said the time ended when efforts were made to buy peace in JK and that administration now works with the only purpose of building peace in UT.
“Nothing will be allowed to hurt the unity and sovereignty of the state.
We want peace and brotherhood, but we will not hesitate in dealing hard with those involved in anti-national activities or those who create obstacles on the Peace road in JK,” he said .
Praise the police Jammu and Kashmir because of his sacrifice, Sinha said important milestones, institutions or roads in UT would be named after police personnel or other forces who had put their lives for the nation.
“The committee concerned has made decisions and processes will begin from September 30.
There is no way much better way to respect the sacrifice of people who have given their blood to save JK and the country.
Many people sacrificed their lives and I ensure that the government will maintain health, education and basic family facilities and their children, “he said.
Sinha said while it was true that the situation in UT has changed, there have been major changes in policy too.
“There were times when efforts were made to buy peace, but, I thought, at that time it was over now and everyone had to understand that this administration worked at the sole purpose of building peace and civil administration and the police worked on this policy.
This is a big difference that has been happened in the past, “he said.
L-G said police J-K had worked to maintain the peace and sovereignty of the state and had done their duties on the nation together with other colleagues from J-K apart from various difficulties.
“I thank you for your sacrifice and be aware of maintaining internal security,” he added.
It was commendable in the way J-K police worked with restraints and courage, and with love for the motherland, he said.
“This is not an easy job to maintain law and order, against terrorism and also work for the interests of the people,” he said.
Sinha said police J-K also fought with drug abuse and tried to bring young people who abused drugs into the mainstream.
“I begged young people to quit it and channel their energy into something good for themselves, their families, people and J-K,” he added.
Referring to the surge in Covid-19 case in Srinagar, Sinha appealed to people to follow the guidelines and get vaccinations.
“Today, we see 50 percent of the total positive Covid-19 case comes from Srinagar.
I …
ask the Srinagar people to join the SOPS in the Spirit, if not, we will return to our place last year,” said L-g.
Sinha said sports events had the power to influence change far more than other events and compared to other states, J-K spend more sports.
“We spend twice the amount spent on sports in the country of the largest Uttar Pradesh in this country.
Our budget, for a 1.25 crore population, in sports and education only Rs 75 Crore is less than Maharashtra which populations 12 crore.” , We spend more for sports and education than other countries.
There is no sports infrastructure.
We have stadiums and stadiums in each district in each district and for that I thank the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “he said.
