The government said his hand was forced after the governor returned a recommendation for the nomination of TAC members twice in the last year of his office.
Since then, the BJP opposition has accused the Minister of Hemant Soren and his government to pass the head of the State Constitution and TAC party members who boycotted Meeting Meeting held in the last week of June.
While Murmu, who is also the first Governor of the State to complete his tenure, did not question the government’s intention to be behind the move, he stated that Article 244 of the Constitution was talking about the strength of certain governors.
