Will not return, just talk about legal reasons: CP

Nagpur: Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, who completed a year in the office in the city this week, was stated on Friday that there were no questions to return to the closing issue of the red light area Ganga Jamuna under pressure, except for negotiations based on legal considerations.
Kumar said the police tried to find out peaceful solutions for problems in the legal framework.
“Our discussion with all stakeholders continues and we will intensify the talks to reach an agreement,” he added that five brothels again in Ganga Jamuna would soon be sealed.
“I decided to close the Ganga Jamuna bordel house to ensure that the game ‘Cat and Mice’ robbed, arrest and once again repeated the same exercise by the police ending and a concrete solution that deserved,” the police said, added before.
NOTICE Under Section 144 Criminal Procedure (CRPC) Code withdrawn.
“Now, the notification below section 7 (1) (b) Immoral Trade Act (prevention) remains, which will make prostitution within 200 meters from four schools, the same number of temples, the police station and illegal MSEDCL office.
Every customer Arrested can now face prison for up to three months, “said CP.
Kumar also informed that the police had changed the Ganga Jamuna Chowki to ‘Madat Kendra’ or the Help Center to provide assistance to every woman in the Red-Light area that approached the police with complaints.
It will be aimed through the government department concerned, he said.
“Prostitution per se is not illegal.
A woman can have a physical relationship in its own place, but she cannot use it for commercial sex work, which is a brothel and therefore illegal,” Kumar said.
“The owners of houses in Ganga Jamuna can use their place for any legal business, not as brothels.
The police did not ask one resident to leave or empty the place,” Kumar said, denied the allegations that the police acted under the business lobby or political pressure .
“The police will tolerate until it is not possible not to react to defend the law and order,” said CP, refused to comment on personal comments against him made by several activists.
At evil elsewhere in the city, CP said the strict MPDA had been slapped on 40 thugs and several gangs had been stuck in the past year.
