Will not say ‘very stupid thing’: Backtrack Imran about the greeting of rape

Islamabad: After facing a series of criticisms for his statement about rape last month, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has resigned to his comments saying that he would “never say a stupid thing” where a victim was responsible for crimes committed against crimes against them.
“Anyone who commits rape, solely and only the person is responsible.
So let’s explain about it.
No matter how provocative the woman or whatever she wears, the person who commits a deployed rape.
Never a responsible victim , “said Pakistan PM in an interview with PBS News Hour.
Last month, the comments of the Pakistani Prime Minister of sexual violence drew severe reactions after he suggested that “temptation in society” was a way to prevent sexual violence against women.
He made a comment about two months after the same controversy.
In an interview with a media house based in the US PBS, Khan explained that his comments were taken outside the context.
“They only talk about Pakistani people where we experience a sharp increase in sex crimes,” he said.
“And I have to say because I know all the interviews I gave.
Will I not say a stupid thing where someone who was raped somehow was responsible.
It is always a responsible rapist,” Khan said.
On that question, if the importance of Islam in the country blocked his attitude to women, Pakistani PM said, “Not at all.
Islam gave dignity to women.” His comment came in the midst of an anger recently for incidents of sexual violence that grew in Pakistan.
Official statistics in Pakistan have revealed that at least 11 rape incidents were reported in the country every day, with more than 22,000 cases reported to the police in the past six years.
Pakistan tucked two places since last year, now ranks among the four worst countries around the world for gender equality, according to GLOBAL GENDER GAP 2021 reports by the World Economic Forum.
