Panaji: Criticizing BJP to damage the head of the Federal State Arrangement, Head of the Banerjee Bengal Congress (TMC) Mamata Banerjee on Friday said that it was time to end BJP ‘Dadisgiri’ culture.
Banerjee, who was on a three-day visit to Goa, said unlike Congress and other opposition parties “compromised” with BJP, TMC would not sell himself to the Safron Party.
Chasing his party’s intention to oppose all 40 assembly seats in the assembly selection of 2022 in Goa, Banerjee also tried to ease worries that Bengal’s clothes tried to break into the country’s political landscape.
“Let Goans rule Goa.
Dili Ka Daddy Band Hona Chahiye,” he said.
After securing a victory pounding in the election of Bengal, TMC tried to increase its national footprint and aim to make a breakthrough in Goa.
Justifying his party entries in the state, Banerjee blamed Congress because it did not bear the opposition party coat both nationally and in the state.
“There are other political parties, but they do not take the initiative.
Other parties give up, we never give up or compromise.
We want to see the first credentials, commitment, and sincerity of the party,” he said.
“If TMC is strong, they will realize and go to us.
If TMC is not strong, they will go to BJP,” Banerjee said.
He also attacked in Congress for the amount of MLA who defected and joined BJP.
After the 2017 poll, the Congress emerged as the largest single party with 17 MLA but is now abandoned with only 4 members at home 40 members.
Asking Goan voters to give his party a chance, Banerjee said, “You (Congress) cannot control your MLA.
You cannot make a decision at the right time.
You allow BJP to form a government.
Who can say it will not happen again?” He advocated for a strong federal structure that could fight the concentration of power in the hands of PM Narendra Modi and the home department minister Amit Shah.
“My agenda is very clear, let Goa run from Goa.
We want to see a strong federal structure.
We want to see strong state unity,” he said.
Banerjee said BJP often called him anti-Hindu even though he did not have the authority to give him a character certificate.
“I am a Hindu.
Who are you to give me a character certificate? I feel guilty because all this has never happened before.
I will die but I will never divide the country.
We brought together people, we did not share it,” he said, adding parties His – TMC stands for “temples, mosques and churches”.
Banerjee interacts with the fishermen community in Malim Jetty in Betim, and promised to increase subsidies for fishermen from Rs 30,000 to RS 75,000.
He also met members of civil society tonight.
“We are ready to die, but we will not subdue our heads to BJP or dictators or cruel people who rule the country on behalf of law enforcement agencies, income tax (authorities) and those who torture civil society,” he said when speaking To members of the civil society.
One of the participants urged Banerjee to form an alliance with opposition parties if TMC seriously defeated BJP.
“If anyone is interested in working with us, we are open to it.
But the past experience is that the alliance doesn’t work,” Banerjee said.
