New Delhi: Immediately after taking over as Minister of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, S Shobha Karandlaje on Thursday tried to attack emotional chords with the agricultural community and said he would reach the convincing farmers throughout the country about the benefits of the three controversial agricultural law.
Thousands of farmers, especially from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, have camped at the Delhi border for more than seven months now in protest against the three laws they say they will end the procurement of minimum plants.
“The center has passed three agricultural laws for the benefit of the agricultural society.
However, this law was opposed for political reasons.
We have great responsibility to convince farmers about the benefits of this law.

Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar and Minister of State at the Kailash Choudhary Ministry were also present when Karandlaje took over.
He said he would try to convince farmers that the agricultural law was intended to double the income of farmers and release it from the grip of the intermediary.
The 55-year-old BJP Karnataka leader said the goal of Modi the Government was to double the income of farmers and he received great responsibility as the Minister of Agriculture to understand the problems of farmers and respond to them effectively.
“I will respond to all the problems faced by farmers, whether they free the farmers from debt or drought, working with senior Minister Narendra Singh Tomar Ji,” he added.
To solve Deadlock and end the protest of farmers, the government and trade unions have held 11 rounds of talks, the last on January 22.
The talks have not returned after the violence extends during the tractor rally by protesting farmers on January 26.
The Supreme Court has delayed the implementation of three laws until the order further and has established a committee to find a solution.
The committee has submitted a report.
