However, Punjab CM, refused to make a comment on the difference with Cricketer-rocky with the Navjot Singh Sidhu politician.
Amarinder Singh and Sidhu are in the loggerheads for some time now leading to the crisis at the Punjab Congress.
Party leadership is very trying to end the phziency in the state unit in the front of the assembly next year.
“I came to meet with the president of the Congress, discussing the internal issue of the party, the problem of development of Punjab.
Whatever decision he took as far as Punjab, we are ready for it.
We are truly directed to the upcoming election,” Amarinder Singh said.
However, when asked about the difference with Sidhu, Punjab CM refused to comment.
“I don’t want to comment on Sidhu, I came here to strengthen the party,” said the minister’s punjab head.
Sidhu, who has vocal about the difference with the Head of the Minister of Punjab, recently met Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka in the national capital.
He had left the Ministry of Punjab in 2019 after Amarinder Singh changed his portfolio.
Rahul Gandhi had met senior leaders and selected representatives from Punjab to resolve differences between various factions.
Rahul’s meeting with Sidhu last week has assumed the significance when the former president of the Congress had not met Punjab CM when he was in the national capital to meet the leaders of the senior party.
This caused Sidhu’s conversation to seek help with Gandhis over Amarinder Singh.
Senior Congress leader Malikarjun Kharge, who is the head of the three members formed by the party to resolve the Punjab crisis, also present during today’s meeting between Sonia Gandhi and Amarinder Singh.
