Will Ruin UAVs flying about INS Hamla, warns Navy

MUMBAI: Indian Navy has cautioned of destroying or confiscating on seeing any non-conventional airborne objects–which contains Drones or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)–flying about 3-km near the illegal zone of their defence setup in INS Hamla (an logistics training institution ) at Marve Road, Malad (W).
The operator discovered dividing the orders would be reserved under the non-bailable Indian Penal Code departments for waging war against the Government of India, it said.
A Navy official said all of the defence installations now within South Mumbai are under the Red zone and also so are flying some other non-conventional airborne objects in the region is illegal.
“This truly is a no-fly zone in which INS Hamla is found that comes beneath the red zone of their electronic heavens platform,” said the officer.
Red zone comprises airspace near international boundaries, near airports and other strategic places.
Both of the other zones include: Yellow – a limited zone and demands a Air Defence Clearance, along with Green zone- that is searchable for flights.
Indian Navy (Chief PRO) Commander Mehul Karnik stated if drone flying has been deemed necessary from the region, the operator and also the bureau must obtain approval by your Director-General Civil Aviation (DGCA) throughout the Digi Sky site along with also a copy of the consent letter to be filed INS Hamla at least a week prior to the flying procedure.
“The prohibition arrangement is for many high-security zones and setups like the defence installments,” he explained.
