Panaji: Head of Minister of Pram Sawant on Thursday said that he would explore the possibility of absorbing contractual health workers, who had worked on the past half year for half a pandemic, in the state health service department.
When and when vacancies created in the health sector, these people will be given a priority, he said.
By declaring that he discussed these problems absorbing this contract worker with the Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, Sawant, however, added that he “could not provide fake guarantees to regulate their services”.
“We will see how they can be accommodated in government services.
Every time a post is made, we will give priority to people who have worked during their pandemics and services will be continued,” said the main minister at a function held to mark the day of national doctor’s day , Contractual employees in the health sector include doctors, nurses, and paramedic staff.
Sawant said that countries and the government thanked the doctors for the work they did during the ongoing Covid pandemic.
“That’s because the health staff and doctors that we have been able to get out of the second wave,” he said, adding that even though the day and night efforts were included by them, during the second wave, they had to face the Brunt of Public IRE.
The minister further said that the state government had taken the salary issue of ayush doctor.
“They work for a minimum salary and the government will soon finish it.”
