Will Table Anti-Conversion Bill in Session BelmingVA: cm

Beleagavi / Hubballi: After weeks in two thoughts on it, Head of Karnataka Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday said the state government would appoint anticonversion bills in the winter session in the Batagavi which began on Monday.
The draft Bill is currently being studied by the Law Department.
In Bellagavi and Hubballi, Bommai said the bill was intended to curb conversion through persuasion and had convinced members of the Christian protection community for other prayers and rituals throughout the state.
“There should be no room for conversion with Allurement to misuse poverty.
The state will blow bills in this session itself,” he said.
He added that after supervision by the Law Department, the bill would appear for discussion in the cabinet for approval and then introduced in the Assembly.
However, regardless of the guarantee, the attack on members of the Christian community continues.
According to Father JS Sudhakar, a church official in Beleagavi, claimed that this year alone, more than 16 pastors were attacked from the right-wing group in Bellagavi, the highest number of states.
Only three fir asked and the rest was resolved at the police station.
On Saturday, an unknown man brought a machete to enter a Caholik Church and threatened Imam, Fr Francis d’Souza.
The priest ran out of the church and the man chased him and then escaped.
The police have submitted a case.
Sudhakar said the attack was intensified recently after the debate about anti-conversion law began.
Pastor Pramod, Financial Administrator Belpose Diocesan, said some elements tried to paint the community with poor light.
’32 Attacks in the past year over the conversion of Pramod Pastor said: “According to Census data, the population of Christians has dropped, contrary to strong conversion claims.
Also, there is a law to deal with forced conversions.
Where is the need for new laws.
“Advocates Niyaz Moosa, who have dealt with such cases, said last year, in Karnataka, 32 attacks had been reported.
“All attacks are based on false conversion allegations.
Bustomavi has seen the highest number of attacks.
The state wants to peddle a lie about conversion and these attacks planned to support conversion theory,” he said.
