Williamson, Jamieson rested from T20S because India tested the main priority: jammed

Jaipur: Calling a test against India’s top priority, the New Zealand head coach Gary Stead has said that all format players will be given a break during the previous T20 series against the host.
The Stead also confirmed that Pacer Lockie Ferguson, who suffered a calf injury at the start of the T20 World Cup in the UAE, had regained full fitness and was available for the series opening here on Wednesday.
All format players such as Skipper Kane Williamson and Pacer Kyle Jamieson have rested for the T20, while other players in both teams are Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell and the Southee team, who will be a stand on the captain.
“You will definitely see that all squad (T20) will get the time of the match here.
Again, it’s about we manage the workload of the players.
And especially with the test match that appears, which will be a real priority to us.
When we Work through this next week, “said Stead to the NZC media team.
New Zealand arrived here less than 24 hours after losing the World Cup final to Australia, raising questions about series scheduling in India.
Test forces including people like Ross Taylor and Tom Latham have arrived here last week.
“We have decided to talk to Kane and Kyle that they won’t play in the T20 series so that they both will get ready for a test match.” And I think you might find someone else is involved in a test match that will not play the whole series.
So it’s a bit of Balancing Act at the moment and with three matches T20 and five days, plus a trip to three different cities.
It was a very, very busy time.
“The series two tests are part of the cycle of the new world test championship.
Ferguson gets back fitness for T20S is a big boost for the team, said Stead.” So he recovered very well.
His calf injury he took at the beginning of the World Cup.
It was very pleasant for him and and exciting for our team to have it back in our attack.
“The 40-member New Zealand contingent, consisting of players and coaches, is in India today and the stead says that managing large groups can be challenging.” There are around 26 players and 16 or 17 support staff.
Some men will leave after a week so there will be numbers that will discuss the staff houses and players from the T20 group we have.
“But it might be the support team and the biggest player player we have together in one place and of course in my time and it makes it a little more challenging to get around everyone and also support them in their needs.” India, which was knocked out of the World Cup by New Zealand, will play their first series under the new T20 captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid.
The key players like Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah do not play T20S as part of workload management but the feel of feeling India remains a strong side.
“They are still very, very smooth expect India to be very strong and will fire a lot of shots on us.
So we just have to stay positive and really clear in the way we want to play back against these people,” he added.
