Wimbledon: Kerber shines after delaying rain to pass the Sasnovich test

LONDON: The former Wimbledon Champion Angelique Kerber was placed through Wringer at the beginning of the third round clash with Alakandra Sasnovich which was not seeded on Saturday but Germany rallied from a set to win 2-6, 6-0, 6-1 after a delay in rain.
Kerber faces a difficult test against Sara Sorribes Tormo in the previous round before overcoming the Spaniard in the longest women’s match in Wimbledon since 2011 and made a slow start on Saturday with twice after serving at first to give Sasnovich.
