A few months ago, Microsoft launched the Windows 11 operating system with a new widget panel that brought various types of cards and information such as news, weather and more.
At present, the OS does not support third-party widgets and also does not allow users to squeeze the widget on the desktop.
Now, according to the report by Windowslatest, the company plans to make some major changes on the widget feature with upcoming updates.
According to the report, Microsoft plans to add support for third party widgets in Windows 11 version 22H2.
Support for third-party widget was first introduced by Compaat with the launch of Windows Vista in 2007 and then support was also added to Windows 7.
Reports with WindowsLatest further mention that support for third-party widgets will also allow users to adjust the widget panel as they wish.
The report also revealed that no fire related to third-party widgets was seen at the current preview or stable building of the operating system.
This means that the initial preview of the upcoming features is still a few weeks or more months.
Last month, Microsoft added new features and improvements to the start menu and taskbar.
With the latest building, users can click right back at the beginning to access the settings start quickly and select the “More Pin” or “more” layout options to display the extra line of the PIN or recommendation, respectively.
If the secondary monitor is connected, the clock and date now will also be displayed on the secondary monitor taskbar or monitor after the update.
Previously, the clock and date were only visible on the main monitor.
According to the company, the change was not available for everyone in the past because he planned to monitor feedback and see how the land before pushing him to everyone.
