Microsoft will begin launching Windows 11 from October 5.
But you have to wait to get support for the Android application – considered as one of the biggest features in Windows 11.
In accordance with Aaron Woodman, the General Manager of Windows Marketing, Microsoft will preview the Android application support in a few months and access will be limited only for Windows inciders.
“We hope to be able to continue our journey to present an Android application to Windows 11 and Microsoft Store through our collaboration with Amazon and Intel; this will begin with preview for people in Windows over the coming months,” Woodman said in the official blog post.
Windows 11 was announced earlier and was only available to select users who are part of the Windows Insider program.
On October 5, all the qualified PCs will get Windows 11 updates for free when the laptop loaded with Windows 11 will also be available.
When Microsoft launched Windows 11 before, it spoke a lot about supporting the Android application.
The company exhibits application compatibility by running instance directly from Tiktok on stage.
Now, running an Android application on Windows 11 pcs may sound cool but in reality it might not be too interesting.
The reason is simple.
Just because Windows 11 will support certain applications does not mean you will get access to the entire series of Android applications hosted by Google on the Google Play Store.
In fact, Google has nothing to do with the compatibility of Android Application Windows 11.
For Windows 11, Microsoft has partnered with Amazon.
This will allow Windows 11 users to access the Android application via the Amazon App Store.
Although this is a big step for Microsoft to provide the support of the Android application for the first time on the PC it will not be something that will make you leave.
Using the Amazon App Store for Android applications on Windows 11 pcs means you will not have access to all popular Android apps.
So, there is a possibility that your favorite Android applications and games may not be available on a 11 PC PC.
Also, there is no clarity about what type of application and how many applications will be available at the Microsoft App Store for Windows 11.
