Microsoft never really has a video editing tool for Windows that offers a set of comprehensive editing and features since it stops Windows filmmakers in 2017.
Video editors equipped with Windows 10 and Xbox are basic and offer a few features.
But this is set to change because the company acquires clipchamp, web browser editing tools that calculate Google, Deloitte and Dell among its customers (other than Microsoft).
The company integrates chipchamp with Microsoft 365 as well as the Windows operating system with the aim of offering a complete video edition solution for users.
Microsoft has not announced other details of the agreement including the cost.
“As a web application that uses the full power of your PC, Clipchamp is a natural fit to extend the productivity of the Cloud-powered productivity in Microsoft 365 for individuals, families, schools and businesses,” explained Chris Pratley, Vice President of Microsoft Office Media Groups.

Established in 2013, clipchamp is a well-known video editor used by several small and large companies such as Dell, Google, Deloitte and Microsoft themselves to easily create professional videos.
This is a video editing tool which is driven by a template with filter libraries, styles, transitions, and stock media that are rich with audio composite editors and multi-track videos that use complete system resources including CPUs and GPU acceleration to rendering videos.
This tool is available for free to try.
However, the price is $ 9 (around Rs 662) per month to subscribe to paid.
For those who are unconscious, Microsoft recently changed the photo application with a new interface, video editing tools still unchanged and did not even have basic features such as multi-track layering, limited features, lack of good effects and transitions and performance.
With this new acquisition, we expect things to change in video editing for Windows users and Microsoft 365.
It will also help companies eliminate one of the largest limitations of the Windows operating system.
