Windows 11 virtualization on M1 Mac 'is not a supported scenario': Microsoft
Written by news2in

Microsoft Windows support through Boot Camp for Mac-powered Intel is an important feature.
Most people prefer to install Windows on virtualization on Mac and run both operating systems side by side.
It seems that Microsoft plans to take another route with the new version of Windows 11 and M1 for Mac.
A Microsoft spokesman told register on Friday that Windows 11 support for M1-based machines ‘was not a supported scenario’.
That means the Windows 11 arm will not be supported on M1 MAC through virtualization or native.
The Windows 10 arm itself is not supported on M1 Mac and Microsoft will continue to not support new Macs with Windows 11.
It should be noted that the statement does not imply that Windows 11 will not run on M1 Mac.
Users can still install Windows 11 through third-party virtualization software such as parallel, only Microsoft will not support it officially.
It’s not like someone hasn’t tried running Windows on Mac powered M1.
As soon as Apple introduces M1 Mac, a developer installs the Windows arm through virtualization without emulation.
This list also reported that Parallels 17 began to show hardware compatibility errors on the manufacture of Windows insiders which were then resolved through updates.
However, all of this immediately seemed to end as soon as Microsoft decided to fully pull the plug for Windows 11 arm support for M1 Mac.
