LONDON: The airspace area around Queen Elizabeth II’s Windsor Castle Residence in Berkshire, Southeast England, will be a zone without a flies for security reasons since the end of this month, the British police said on Tuesday.
After a public consultation by local Thames Valley police and Metropolitan Police and applications for British Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA), “Limited Region Orders” approved for Windsor.
Development came after a recent security violation on the basis of the 95-year-old kings by an English Sikh teenager, held under the England mental health law after being arrested by the arrow last month.
“Orders limit the use of airspace to 2,500 to take it in a 1.25 sea mile radius around the Windsor Castle and will come into force starting January 27, 2022.
Every flight in a limited area will require authorization,” said Police Thames Valley.
“Someone has the release or previous permission, anyone who violates the restrictions on facing prosecution.
This order is an additional method to keep the community close to this iconic location safe.
Officers have conducted regular patrols in this area to provide guarantees together with various other security measures, “The police said.
Metropolitan police said the application to CAA was part of a sustainable review into security settings and not because of a particular threat or intelligence.
Social media videos, reviewed by the Met Police, has emerged after Christmas Day violated the castle yard where a masked man identified himself as Sikh Jaswant Singh Chail India said he wanted to “kill” the Queen as revenge for Jalianwala Bagh Massacre in Amritsar in 1919 .
