New Delhi: The Government of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday claimed to have become wiser and withdrew from its Supreme Court eight Montthold petitions challenging HC’s decision to continue investigations into the FIR and stopped the police to take coercive actions in cases related to alleged land scams in Amaravati.
The police have registered the FIR against the former Advocate General of State D Srinivas and 13 others, including two daughters of a SC judge sitting, for allegedly buying land in Amaravati with the knowledge of people even before the decision was taken to declare it to declare the country.
There was an allegation that fir was retaliation against the behest of Judge SC to accelerate the trial in a delayed case against selected representatives.
CM Jagan Reddy has almost a dozen criminal cases waiting for the trial against him.
HC has continued to carry out investigations and coercive actions against the defendant, lead the AP government to rush to SC.
