Wish to pay tribute to COVID warriors by winning Trophy in Tokyo: Manpreet Singh

BENGALURU: Indian men’s baseball team captain Manpreet Singh states they’ll leave no rock unturned to finish their four decade-long medal drought in the Tokyo Olympics and has pledged to devote the accomplishment into the nation’s COVID warriors.
Manpreet is decided to pay tribute to the nation’s frontline employees by finishing on the podium from the Tokyo Games to be held from July 23 to August 8.
“As we all work towards the approaching Olympic Games Tokyo 2020we guarantee to fight all chances to win a trophy for India,” he explained.
“And when we can get a trophy, we’d love to dedicate it into the heroes of our nation — the physicians and frontline employees who’ve worked tirelessly to cure our nation through these difficult times and saved countless lives.

India have won eight Olympic gold awards before but their past top end came back in 1980 Moscow Games.
The skipper is thrilled with the devotion and commitment being exhibited with each and every participant in the continuing variety trials in SAI Bengaluru center.
“Everybody is pushing one another to present their very best shot,” explained Manpreet.
