Ahmedabad: More than seven months after they ended their marriage by getting customary divorce, two pairs were entangled in the complexity of the Barter wedding tradition married by the Gujarat High Court intervention, for the future of their children.
HC threw the petition observing that “it was a happy end for disputes”.
The High Court deals with the Habeas Corpus petition submitted by a woman from Patan district demanding her two children from her husband, who she had divorced.
As the court encouraged the Petitioner, knowing that the marriage of a woman had occurred in accordance with the BARTER wedding system (SATA Paddhati) which was common in North Gujarat.
The court was told that his marriage was disturbed after a marriage dispute involving his brother and his wife, who was a sister of her husband.
While his children were in his husband’s detention, another couple faced the same problem over the prisoners of children after separation.
The High Court asks the parties to bring peaceful solutions to problems for the future of their children who are better.
The court refers to the case of the Patan District Legal Service Authority for mediation.
The High Court also insisted that other couples were called for mediation so that disputes over prisoners of children could be resolved.
Following mediation, the two partners agreed to cancel their divorce acts, which were on January 15 after consulting family members and community leaders.
On August 23, the two couples executed new actions stating that they stated that divorce acts were canceled and married again with the presence of family members and legal service authority staff.
They also agreed to end the dispute over the custody of their children.
On Tuesday, the High Court was told about peaceful solutions between the parties who quarreled and that both the couple also remarried.
Chairman of the Chairperson of the Chairperson of the Chairperson of Vineet Kothari and Justice Umesh Trivedi disposed of Habeas Corpus petition and appreciated the efforts of legal services and mediators for reunion.
