Jaipur: Rajasthan is one of the top 3 states that have provided the highest number of booster doses in this country.

With 6,59,302 doses, Maharashtra was in fourth place, West Bengal (6,27,734), Madhya Pradesh (5.56,716) and Andhra Pradesh (5.56,656).
The Ministry of Health began booster shots from January 10 for health workers (HCWS), FLW workers (FLW) and for elders (60+) with comorbidity.
The state is targeting to manage more than 25.4 lakh booster shots to HCWS, FLW, and elders who meet the requirements (60+) with Comorbidies and so far managed 6.68 lakh shots in 15 days, which accounts for 26.2% of the population qualify for a booster dose.
In the state, 50,587 people have received shots at Jaipur, Jodhpur with 47,357 doses in second place, and Ajmer is in third place where 45,347 people have received a booster dose.
The health department focused more on the elderly because most of the deaths in January belonged to 60+ populations, said a health department official.
Bharatpur, Hanumangarh, Karauli and Jaisalmer are among the districts that have not performed well in vaccination for booster doses because they have reached around 15% of the targets given to them.
