New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday saved young marriages that were staggered by persuading husbands to withdraw all cases against their partners, while also told him to give his wife a dignified place at home or present in prison.
The couple, wasolated for almost four years after his wife was banished from his marriage home a month after marriage because of the insufficient dowry, easily agreed to live together.
The wife in some of the last hearing with dashing rejects instructions from husband’s advice for the dissolution of marriage.
“Why do I have to give a divorce? I want to stay with him in a dignified way.
I still love him,” his wife told Cji N V Ramana and Surya Kant’s justice.
On Wednesday, the bench, who has found his husband and parents to become a problem maker, categorically in giving the threat of the possibility of detention to husbands with advice which generally come from senior family.
Judge Kant told Ravi’s husband Kiran Rakesh, “You have to go to his house and bring him back to the matrimonial marriage house.
You both have to forget the past and start your wedding life, you”.
Bench advised the woman to pull her case against her husband and in-laws.
The bench asked the husband and wife to withdraw the cases submitted by them with each other and then submit Affidavit which determines the application submitted in this trial.
However, the bench has not finished with a husband, and said, “You must behave well in the future.
Otherwise you will go to prison.” The husband sounded desperate to escape from the possibility of arrest and repeatedly said that he would attract all case against it.
Turning to husband’s advice, senior advocate and former HC Judge Anjana Prakash, Cji Ramana said, “With your experience and background, you should finish a dispute in your room rather than making the husband continue with litigation.” Prakash agreed and said he was tried.
“But, these days young people watch so many soap operas, who keep playing in their minds.” The Jharkhand High Court rejected the anticipatory guarantee to the husband, noting that his wife was tortured to present in the Matrimonial marriage house.
