Bettiah / Gopalganj: At least 24 people have died and some others fell ill after consuming liquid liquor in Gopalganj and West Bihar, where total prohibitions existed, in the last two days.

Eight people died on Thursday after allegedly consuming Hooch in Telhua Village in Bettiah, headquarters of the West Chamaran Regency, while the victim in the Gopalganj incident rose to 16 on Thursday with six more deaths confirmed by the District Authority.
The administration of the two districts has not confirmed the cause of death so far.
The HOOCH TELHUA tragedy has become the third incident in North Bihar in the last ten days.
Bihar Minister Jan Ram rushed to Gopalganj.
