Mumbai: For the third time in December, the city did not register the fatality of one Covid-19 for a period of 24 hours.
On Saturday, the city reported 274 cases and zero death.
During the last 140 days, the city has reported Covid’s death in one digit, a sign that the second wave is behind it.
Through the length of the pandemic, it would be the fourth opportunity when Mumbai did not record Covid fatality in the window a day.
Cumulative Covid Caseload City has reached 7.66,729, while death has touched 16,363.
The state continues with a decrease in new cases.
It added 854 cases to push the cumulative covid load to 66.48,694.
Eleven deaths were reported to take the victim to 1.41,340.
Even when Mumbai did not report death, six deaths were reported from the Mumbai Metropolitan region, where two came from Mira-Bhayander and each of them from Thane, Ulhasnagar, Vasai-Virar and Panvel.
Ahmednagar reported four deaths while Pune recorded one.
Active cases in the state (6,942) and Mumbai (1,948) see marginal increase.
