Motihari / Patna: Launching a three-week long campaign for social reform, presenting ‘Samj Sudhar Abhiyan’, from Motihari on Wednesday, Minister of Minister Nith Kumar said the development without reform in the community had no meaning.
“If we do reform in the community along with development work, society, state, and the state will develop on a faster face,” Nitish said while overcoming a public meeting at Gandhi Maidan in Motihari.
“This campaign will continue to run in every city, every city and each village,” he added.
In his speech, CM focuses on the benefits of total prohibitions and bad effects of social crime such as marriage and child marriage.
Explain the dowry system as a very bad practice, Nitish vowed not to participate in a wedding in which Dowry was taken.
CM says for the next he will attend only a wedding in which a clear declaration of ‘no dowry exchange’ will be mentioned in the invitation card.
“When we launched a campaign against Dowry a few years ago, some ordinary people claimed on invitation cards that ‘this marriage was in unhappy without dowry’.
Now we don’t accept such invitation cards,” CM said.
He asked people not to participate in a wedding presented after a dowry exchange.
CM also asks for Jeevika workers, youth and social workers to launch a strong campaign against consumption of liquor, child marriage and dowry system and go to all homes in the villages to raise awareness of this crime.
Nitish said that during Satyavah Champaran in 1917, Mahatma Gandhi had begun the movement of consumption of liquor and asked the poor and illiterate that the consumption of liquor was bad for health and healthy living.
CM also distributes checks for RS 5 Crore among 246 Jeevika Didi for their works in the villages.
He seems to be happy with the presence of large amounts of Jeevika workers.
