Panaji: CM Pramod Sawant said on Monday that the state government had no intention of restarting casino surgery considering the covid pandemic.
“Until now, there is no decision about restarting casino operations in the state,” he said.
The state government on Sunday expands state-level curfew until 16 August, to control the spread of Covid-19 in Goa.
However, there is no additional relaxation in the sequence of curfew.
There are six offshore casinos and dozens of ground casinos operating in the state.
It’s been three months that casinos have been closed in the state.
The state government, in the order of the last night, has allowed the bar and restaurant to continue operations up to 11:00 at a capacity of 50%.
The country continues to make a negative negative Covid RT-PCR report for those who enter the country from Kerala.
What was left closed at the revised curfew was a casino, auditorium, river cruises, spas and massages, cinema and multiplex, educational institutions and coaching for students (except for student exams and held competitive examinations with government approval).
