Jaipur: When the city recorded Covid sporadic cases, doctors witnessed lung infection with cough and fever even though the sample tested negatively for Covid and dengue fever.
Doctors get tests carried out for other diseases as well, such as dengue, typhus, malaria scrubs and even swine flu, but this is also negative testing.
“In two days of fever, some patients are developing acute breathing pressure syndrome,” said Dr.
Ajit Singh, supervisor, Ruhs Hospital.
The doctor repeated the Covid RPCR test from patients received, but they showed Covid negative.
Because they were tested negatively for dengue fever, doctors called cases of diseases such as this bloody fever.
“The symptoms are similar to bloody fever but they are not positively tested for dengue fever.
All of these cases are categorized as diseases such as dengue fever,” Dr.
Singh said.
ICU in several private hospitals ran with full capacity.
“We accept patients with high oxygen needs along with atypical pneumonia and pneumonia viruses.
But, the good is that they all respond well on treatment,” said Dr.
Sheetu Singh, a pulmonological consultant, in a private hospital.
From various parts of the city, such cases were reported including a retired government employee from the Shastri Nagar area, which had lung involvement and low platelet count.
“When he was taken to me, the number of platelets was under one lakh per microliter of blood and his lungs had an infection.
All tests were carried out from dengue fever, Covid to rub the typhus to blur flu but all tested negatively.” Said Dr.
Adil Aziz, consultant ( Medicine), in a private hospital.
