Coimbatore: A 27-year-old woman was found dead at her residence in Ramanathapuram on Saturday.
The police identified as Illakkiya, wife of Ram Prakash from Munusamy Nagar.
He was suspected of committing himself.
His father Annadurai, who filed a complaint, said that he gave 100 rulers of jewelry, a car and silver article to his daughter after his husband and his parents forced him to dowry.
Annadurai said he received a call from his daughter-in-law’s father at around 2:40 p.m., told him to commit suicide by hanging in his room.
