Letter: A woman aged around 25 years sank after she jumped from Sardar Bridge on River but on Saturday night.
While the deceased has not been identified and the police tried to track reports of missing people at various police stations, the incident saw the junior minister for the house, a hard sanghvi, in full action.
The minister accidentally crossed the bridge around the same time and saw people gathered in large numbers down from his car to ask.
After knowing the reason, he immediately instructed the police and fire officials to speed up the rescue process.
“I noticed something unwanted, seeing people standing on the bridge.
Knowing that someone had jumped from the bridge, I asked the rescue team to accelerate to help the woman,” Sanghvi said, who stopped in place for a few minutes while the fire team saved The woman and shifted him to the nearest private hospital.
However, the woman died in a few minutes after being transferred to the hospital.
“The woman has not been identified.
Only after identification, we can investigate the reasons behind the extreme steps,” said an officer at the Adjan Police Station.
The deceased was in a red salwar suit, wearing a series of beads on his neck, metal bracelet, and paid on his feet.
