THANE: The Navi Mumbai police on Friday saw the body of an unknown girl packed with a metal drum and left on the street in Nerul, an officer said. According to the authorities, the body has been in an extremely decomposed state and was sent to get a post-mortem into the hospital at Navi Mumbai. The departure came into light when a passerby alerted the authorities after he discovered foul odor emanating from the steel drumwhich was abandoned on the sidewalk across Palm Beach street, the officer said. Tests are underway to determine the deceased lady’s identity and reason for death,” he added.
