Women are held for theft on the bus

Thiruvananthapuram: The Cantonment Police here on Friday arrested two women on charges of stealing wallets from female bus passengers.
The police identified the defendant as Selvi, 30, Mettupalayam near Coimbatore and Murugamma, 32, from Tamil Nadu.
The police said the crime allegations took place around 10am on Friday on a private bus that left Kesavadasapuram to Ayurveda College in the city.
The complainant, Athena Mannanthala, has taken a bus from Kesavadasapuram.
He accused his complaint that when the bus stopped near the Palalayam Saphalyam shopping complex, the two defendants approached him and used the crowd on the bus as the closing they stole his wallet from shoulder bags.
He felt theft and warned the bus crew, who told the police.
The two women were arrested by a team led by the Cantonment Station House Officer Inspector B M Syafi.
