Thane: A 31-year-old woman was arrested from Diva in Thane for allegedly stealing gold ornaments worth Rs 3.47 lakh from a passenger inside a crowded suburban train, police said on Monday.
Theft has occurred between Diva and Thane around 9:30 on December 7 and checking CCTV recordings revealed that a woman had attended the victim from the platform directly to the crowded train, the branch of the Gajendra Patil train crime.
He identified the defendant as Bhakti Bhushan Puriab, added that posting his arrest on December 17, ornaments looted by Rs 3.43 Lakh had recovered.
