Gurgaon: A woman allegedly cheated on Rs 1 lakh by online fraudsters with the pretext of transferring money in his account.
According to the complainant, he received a call where the caller identified himself as his father’s friend and said that his father asked him to transfer some money into his account.
The defendant shared the QR code and asked the woman to scan four times to receive money.
Every time the QR code is scanned, Rs 25,000 is debited from the victim’s account.
