Gurugram: A 48-year-old woman allegedly cheated by Rs 6.3 lakh with a guise to increase its cellphone SIM card from 3G technology to 4G.
In his complaint, Nisha Chopra said at first he received a message asking him to update his SIM card.
Chopra added that after the message, he received a call where the person identified himself as an official ICICI Bank and asked for the details of his bank he refused.
However, during a call, the phone is hacked and the details of the debit card, the Aadhaar card and PAN card details are obtained.
After he cut the call, Chopra received a message stating that he was that Rs 5 Lakh and 74 thousand were taken from one bank account held under the SBI Bank and the RS 60,000 others were taken from other accounts in ICICI Bank.
A FIR has been submitted at the Cyber Police Station.
