Women get a trial period for the role of ‘minimal’ in the Capitol Riot

College Park: The day before the general meeting was scheduled to be protested on alleged persecution of imprisoned celebrations, involved in January 6 Capitol Riots, a Federal Judge punished a California architect on Friday to consider his role, emphasizing that the rebellion “answered threats Against democracy “and continues to resonate” in a sad and unfortunate way “.
United States District Judge Paul Friedman noted that the security fence has risen around the Capitol in preparation for a general meeting on Saturday with what he calls people “wrong direction” protesting what they set is the persecution of imprisoned rebels who try to stop certification Former President of Donald Trump’s losses for Joe Biden.
Friedman sentenced Valerie Elaine Ehrke to three years of trial and ordered it to do 120 hours of community service.
The Justice Department prosecutor said they recommended a trial sentence for EHRKE because he was in the Capitol for about a minute, only stepping around 15 feet into the building and not involved in the violence or destruction of property.
Friedman said the role of EHRKE in a rebellion was “around minimal as he got”.
More than 600 people were charged with federal crimes related to riots.
EHRKE was one of about 70 defendants who had been guilty of charges of riots.
Friedman noted that some believers the imprisoned rebellion was “Patriots”.
“And some of them may be at a certain level.
But at other levels, the behavior they do to pursue their trust is not the first amendment speech and not the first amendment of legitimate protests,” Friedman said.
“What happens is a riot, is incitement, is a rebellion”.
He echoed the position of another judge that the trial period should not be “automatic results” for mild violations such as EHRKE.
Everyone who invades the Capitol “represents a threat to democracy, for our democratic norms, and continues to resonate in a sad and unfortunate way,” Friedman said.
EHRKE was the seventh defendant of the Capitol RIOT who was sentenced.
He pleaded guilty on June 30 to marry illegally, demonstrated or picked up in the capitol building.
More than 40 other Capitol riot defendants have pleaded guilty of violations of mild violations, which brought a maximum sentence of 6 months in prison and a fine of $ 5,000.
Ehrke told the judge that the January 6 riot was “a unique situation”.
“I don’t have the depth of experience to understand that I need to get out of there or stay away,” he said.
In a letter submitted to court before his sentence, Ehrke called himself “a good member of society” who often took garbage in his environment and had worked on architectural projects in his community for free.
“I am a small city girl who loves my city, state and country,” he wrote.
The prosecutor asked Friedman to punish EHRKE for three years of trial period and 40 hours of community service.
US Kevin Birney’s lawyer assistant said EHRKE was one of the first defendants of the Capitol RIOT who agreed to plead guilty.
“The government has hoarded it,” he added.
Ehrke went to Washington, D.C., from his home in Arbuckle, California, on January 5 to attend Trump’s speech the next day.
After hearing the speech, he initially returned to his hotel room.
“However, when he saw the news about how people went to the US Capitol, he decided he wanted to be part of the crowd,” the prosecutor wrote in court.
Ehrke recorded and uploaded a video to Facebook as he walked to the Capitol, including one with a statement that he was heading to the building “violated”.
Ehrke will hear the alarm sounded throughout the Capitol when he entered.
He was stopped behind the crowd when the police began to push them back through the hallway and get out of the building through the door.
“We made it in, just before they got rid of all of us.
I left when I felt a pepper spray in my throat! LOL,” Ehrke posted on Facebook.
The picture for the EHRKE Facebook profile is “Q” that lights up, a real reference to the Qanon conspiracy theory.
Many followers of Qanon believed Trump fought with a secret campaign against a cubal enemy state in the leading Democrats and Hollywood elite operating children’s sex trade rings.
Riots interfere with the certification of the number of election elections.
More than 100 law enforcement officers were injured during the MOB attack, which also caused property damage of more than $ 1 million.
