Women in Afghanistan looking for ‘rights to return’ to government work

Kabul: The woman in Afghanistan said that they had been stopped by the Taliban from returning to work, despite their willingness to work.
Women in Afghanistan demand the right to return to government work, report Tolonews.
Shugufa Najibi, who completed a master’s degree in law from India and had worked in the Afghan Parliament for about 10 years, he said, “When I went to the office, they stopped me.
I asked, ‘Why can your official work?’ When I left, they told me through my colleague not to come again.
“According to data by special inspectors for Afghanistan reconstruction (Sigar), more than 5,000 women worked in the military sector in Afghanistan.
Hanisfa Hamdar, who is a former police officer and worked in Kabul District Police 8 stated that he was worried about his future.
He said, “I’m a widow.
I have four children.
How should you find food if I don’t go to work?” Taliban only allow women to return to work in the health and education sector.
But five Mohammadi, who is a doctor who works at the Government Hospital said, “There is a need for women.
At the hospital and elsewhere.
When men work, women also have to work.” He has returned to work even though he hasn’t received a wage for the past three months, reporting ToloNews.
The Taliban promised that his new era would be more moderate, but Taliban leaders refused to ensure that women’s rights would not be stripped back and many have faced violence.
According to data by the Reform and Civil Service Commission (RCSC), around 11,20,000 women worked in civil organizations in the previous government.
It is still unclear how the new government will decide on women working in the government.
