Bulandshahr: A woman caught fire by her boyfriend’s younger brother, who opposed their relationship, in a village here on Monday, police said.
The 20-year-old victim belongs to Khurja Village, Mundakheda City, told the police that he had a relationship with the brother accused.
They are included in the same community and neighbors, senior police supervisors (SSP) Santosh Kumar Singh said.
The defendant poured kerosene oil to him and made him hate him, the police said, added that the victim suffered 40 percent burn injury and was being treated at the district hospital.
