Nashik: A 57-year-old woman on Tuesday afternoon was robbed of a gold chain worth Rs 98,000 by two thieves borne by bicycles in the Indiranagar area of the city.
Based on the woman’s complaint, the police had registered a robbery case against two unknown suspects.
According to the police, the woman, who is a resident of Van Vaibhav’s colonies along Jalan Wadala-Pathardi in Indiranagar, has gone to the market to buy vegetables.
While he returned home, the suspects borne by bicycles came from behind and one pilaun riding grabbed the two gold chains worn by the woman.
Before the woman could recover from a surprise and increase the alarm, the suspects had fled towards Wadala – Pathardi Road.
Indiranagar police have registered a shot down in section 392 (robbery) and 34 (general intentions) from the Indian criminal code against two suspects.
