Women set two children who hate, hang themselves to death

Finished / Alvi Jhansi: In a terrible incident, a suicide woman after setting two children on fire in the Chirgaon area in the district on Sunday.
The incident was reported from Nandsiya Village under the Chirgaon police station, about 30 km from Jhansi.
The woman, who was identified as Anita, was alone at her house with her two and a half-year-old daughter and a nine-month daughter of Gauri, while her husband Mahendra Rajput went to the market with their third son to buy some household items.
Mahendra’s father had died a few days ago and his last ritual must be done on Tuesday.
On Sunday afternoon, the villagers saw the smoke out of Mahendra’s house.
When they rushed inside, they were stunned to see the two children lying on fire and Anita hung from the ceiling of the room.
The police rushed to place after being told of the incident and took the three people to the nearest hospital where they were declared dead.
Circle Officer, Moth, Pradeep Kumar said three bodies were sent for postmortem examination.
“Initial investigations revealed that the incident might have occurred because some household problems even though the cause of death could only be ascertained after post-mortem reports came,” he added.
