Lucknow: A 26-year-old woman at Hardoi died of a gunshot wound while trying to click Selfie with a single barrel pistol from her father-in-law on Thursday night.
The incident occurred when a gun, which was loaded and a woman who did not suspect her finger on the trigger to pose for selfie, leaving.
The bullet hit Radhika Gupta on his neck and he rushed to the hospital where the doctors uttered his death on arrival.
The victim’s father, Rajesh Gupta, told the police that Radhika married his son Akash Gupta in May 2021.
The Father of the victim, however, has declared fear of playing cheating and filing a police complaint in this matter.
“We have a small jewelry business in the city.
On Thursday, around 3pm, my son Akash brought back our 12-bare single barrel pistol which was handed over to the local police station during the Pancrayat election,” said Gupta, added, “the gun was saved In the second floor room of Radhika’s place.

Shahabad Station House Officer Shivshankar Singh said that a 12-bore single barrel gun and the victim’s cellphone was confiscated and sent for forensic examination.

The body has been sent for post-mortem to do by the Doctor Panel.

The police said that Akash, who was also interrogated, said that his wife was too excited to see the gun.

Sho Singh also said that the father of the victim, Rakesh, had expressed concern about a rotten game in this case and filed a complaint of a dowry of death at the local police station.
A senior officer said that forensic experts would be asked to investigate this case and if the need arises, the crime scene will be recreated.
