Ranchi: A 25-year-old woman who works with an NGO based in Jamshedpur, was swept away at the Waterfall of the Perwaghagh in the Torpa Block of the Khunti District on Sunday.
The police said Garima Topno, a resident of Birsa Nagar in Jamshedpur, took a photo with his cellphone around 12:30 a.m.
at the waterfall when a strong current broke him.
His friends reported the incident to the police.
Tappara Police Station is responsible, BK Thakur, said, “Topno visited the waterfall with his friends for a picnic from Ranchi in the morning.
The incident occurred between 12:30 noon and at 1pm.

“Khunti SP Ashutosh Shekhar said the NDRF personnel team had been asked to track Topno.
“The team arrived here after sunset and would only be able to start a search from Monday morning.”
