Asked: A woman allegedly tried to commit suicide after killing her two children by encouraging them to Raikia in Kandhamal Regency on Saturday.
Police personnel and fires restored the children’s body and took him to the public health center, Raikia, where the doctors claimed they were taken dead.
The deceased was identified as Patra M.Baishanbi (9) and M.Yubaraj Patra (4), police said.
Their mother, Patra Bhagalaxmi, survived the effort.
Bhagalaxmi along with two children left his house on Friday night after a fight with her husband M.rajesh Patra, a businessman.
On Saturday morning, he allegedly pushed his two children into the well, two km from his house and then jumped into the well.
After being told by husbands and locals, police and fire service personnel save children and women, said Police Sub-Division (R.udayagiri) R K Patnaik.
He said the condition of the woman was stable.
The police said family problems might result in the incident.
M.Maheswara Rao, one of the women’s relatives told the police about a frequent fight between couples because of the alleged illegal relationship of husband and other women.
