Ghaziabad: A 27-year-old married woman was found killed in a hotel room in the Khoda area in the district on Monday.
The police suspected her lost husband, with whom the woman was in a hotel room, to be a defendant in this case and an attempt to arrest her.
The deceased has been identified as Priyanka Kumari and works with private companies in Delhi.
Her husband, Arjun Kumar (30), is a resident of Hapur and works at the gas station there.
The police said that there was a marital problem between the two and therefore they lived separately.
They have met at the hotel on Monday to sort out their problems, but Arjun is believed to have killed him and fled.
“Around 9am on Monday, Priyanka came to the hotel with a bag and Tiffin box.
A few moments later, the couple ate them and we thought when he went to wash his hands, he was attacked from behind with a knife with her husband.
He stabbed him several times In the neck and stomach, “said Abhay Kumar Mishra, Circle Officer Indirapuram.
“Once the defendant killed his wife, he escaped with his bag.
When the hotel staff requested payment, he replied that his wife would come in a few minutes and make a payment.
But when he did not come out for more than an hour., A hotel staff member was sent to the room .
The door was found open and the woman lay in a pool of blood in the bathroom.
The hotel then called the police, “added Mishra.
The police have sent the body to autopsy and also told the member of the female family.
“On the basis of complaints, FIR has been registered against Arjun under 302 (punishment for murder) IPC.
Two police teams have been formed to arrest him,” Mishra said.
