Thiruvananthapuram: In a suspected murder case, a 40-year-old woman was found dead at her house in Vilachikkala in Kollam on Thursday.
Jasmine, Shaiju Khan’s wife, was the deceased.
Her husband was also found unconscious in the same room.
The police suspected that the husband killed his wife and then consumed poison to commit the couple’s suicide found unconscious in the room with their children.
Immediately they raised the alarm and the neighbors got there and rushed to the hospital.
But, the doctors stated that Jasmine died on arrival.
Shaiju Khan then shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram medical college hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
“A record restored from a room where it mentioned that the family is under the financial crisis,” Inspector said.
Shaiju Khan previously worked in Saudi Arabia.
Three years ago he returned home.
Even though he ventured a lot of business, nothing worked.
Lately, the couple has run textile stores and juice kiosks in Vilachikkala.
The inspector said that there was a sign on Jasmine’s neck which suggested the possibility of the criticism.
