JAMSHEDPUR: In the case suspected of doing wizards, a 55-year-old tribal woman named Rupi Murmu was beaten to death with a stick by two men on the outskirts of Jamshedpur on Wednesday night.
However, the police have not confirmed that it is a case of hunting wizards.
The incident took place in the village of Magru under the area of the Kovali police station at the Potka Block of East Singhbhum.
According to the local population, the woman was dragged out of her house by the two villagers, stripped and attacked.
Then, his body was found on agricultural land in the backyard of his house.
The police, however, denied that the woman was stripped and was paraded naked on the bull bull train.
Speaking of this problem, SP (rural) Nathu Singh Meena said, “There is no truth for the claims of the local population.

“Meena added that land disputes appear to be a motive behind murder but a detailed investigation of this problem was underway.
“The two defendants have been arrested.
Detailed interrogation will reveal the truth,” he said.
The defendant was identified as a mangal of your mut and Dhapar Murmu, both of which were residents of Magru Village.
The duo is said to be a relative of the victim.
When asked, SP said, “In accordance with our initial investigation, it didn’t seem to be a case of witches, but it can’t be ruled.
We investigate the casing of every corner.” His body was taken to the MGM Hospital for autopsy.
