Lucknow: Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister on Wednesday Directed Officials to start the scheme in mission mode to help women who have lost their husbands to Covid-19.
Assistance will include work, skills development, financial assistance and relationships with various development schemes.
“Its mission will discuss concerns from all such women who need assistance from the government at this crucial point.
This will be framed to the recent scheme lines for children who lose their parents or family income members to Covid-19, “said a government spokesman.
The Department of Women and Child Development have been assigned to compile missions.
Director, Department of Women and Child Development, Manoj Rai said, “The work has begun and the outline of the program must be ready this week.
Working under the mission will take place in two phases.
We will identify women who have widows because of Covid-19 and need help.
Simultaneously, we will also identify schemes implemented by all departments that can be connected by these women.
This program will work in convergence mode, “he said.
The second phase of the program will see the specific needs of beneficiaries and how they can be helped.
“Women will be given assistance in finding work and will be associated with a scheme that can help them financially.
The income department will also help identify the woman and ensure that they get the benefits of family succession as soon as possible,” he added.
Meanwhile, CM also asked officials to hold special camps at the Level of Block and Nyay Panchayat for retirement distribution for poor women.
He also directed officials to overcome all the problems faced by old house prisoners.
“Officials must try and help resolve disputes among old-age prisoners and provide all facilities,” CM said.
