Rajkot: The body of a 30-year-old woman was found hanging at her residence in Sangar Sola’s village in Keshod Taluka from Junagadh district while his one-year-old son was found dead in the same room on Thursday.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Rekha Sonara and his son Bhavya.
Rekha’s husband Jagdish Sonara, who was a farmer, told the police that he went to the nearest village on Thursday morning to attend social functions.
When he returned, he found Rekha hanging on the ceiling fan and his son lay his breath in the cradle.
The police suspected that Rikha first killed Bhavya by giving him toxic substances and then suicide.
Jagdish told the police that Rekha was undergoing treatment due to psychological problems.
His women and sons were sent to medical colleges in Jamnagar for postmortem forensics.
