BELOGIVAVI: Staff in several vaccination centers in North Karnataka are reported to ask for women’s menstruation to find Jab five days after their cycle.
Activists say beneficiaries who meet the requirements are asked to return later in Raichur, Beleagavi and Bidar.
In Raichur, several health workers, without data on post-vaccinated complications, told women that the shot could cause severe bleeding and fatigue and they had to wait for the period ended, according to activist Vidhya Patil.
“There is no such direction from the government, and the woman is being given a vaccine,” said Deputy Commissioner Raichur R Venkatesh Kumar.
