T’PURAM: Women’s commission stated that authorities didn’t work properly to the complaint registered against the childhood that murdered the woman in Perinthalmanna.
The commission said it seen due seriousness the laxity on the part of the country police in up following a complaint registered against the youth that murdered a young girl, injured her sister, aside from putting her dad’s store on fire.
“Authorities shouldn’t allow off the offenders in harassment complaints and stalking cases and also the custom of providing them a warning must finish.
The commission will shortly submit recommendations to authorities in this respect,” stated chairperson of the commission, MC Josephine, on Thursday.
The commission sought a comprehensive report by the district police chief.
In accordance with Josephine, the tradition of letting offenders undergo a stern warning moved contrary to the legislation, particularly in situations where offenders have legal antecedents and so are hooked on narcotics.
